  Copper(II) sulfate (CuSO₄) may be employed as metal source in the synthesis of copper oxide (CuO) hollow nanospheres.^[4]

  General description

  Copper(II) sulfate (CuSO₄) is an anhydrous copper(II) salt. It can be synthesized from CuSO₄.5H₂O, via dehydration.^[1] Copper(II) sulfate adsorbed on silica gel participates in the conversion of secondary and tertiary alcohols to olefins.^[2] Copper(II) sulfate-alumina has been employed as a solid-reagent system during the synthesis of benzils.^[3]
