Application
Copper(II) sulfate (CuSO4) may be employed as metal source in the synthesis of copper oxide (CuO) hollow nanospheres.[4]
General description
Copper(II) sulfate (CuSO4) is an anhydrous copper(II) salt. It can be synthesized from CuSO4.5H2O, via dehydration.[1] Copper(II) sulfate adsorbed on silica gel participates in the conversion of secondary and tertiary alcohols to olefins.[2] Copper(II) sulfate-alumina has been employed as a solid-reagent system during the synthesis of benzils.[3]
